In this video, we are showing that you can use the Red Hat Enterprise Linux
workstation in your language.

We start in English

And now we will change the input configuration to Japanese.

To do so, we open the Region and Language panel from the keyboard indicator
menu

As you can see, Korean input is already configured. Lets add German
and Japanese.

Once they are configured, these languages are easily accessible from the menu

Now we are typing in Japanese, using an input method

We can also switch between input sources using an on-screen display, using the
Super-Space key combination.

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstation makes it easy to search for all your
content. 

To use search, go to the 'overview'

and just start typing.

When you select one of the search results, it opens in the right application

You can navigate inside the document

The overview shows you search results from multiple sources, such as your online accounts.

You can even edit the document right here.


customizability


This video demonstrates how you can customize the desktop experience of the
Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstation.

You can install gnome shell extensions from the tweak tool. 

As an example, we install an extension that provides feedback about caps lock

Another example is a simple system monitor

Extensions can have their own configuration. Here we change the hotkey for the dropdown terminal


online accounts


The Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstation makes it easy to connect to your online accounts.


Online accounts can be set up from the system settings.

Lets add a Google account.

You can control what services you want to use with the Google account. For demonstration purposes, lets just turn the calendar on, initially.


The Google calendar content shows up in the gnome shell calendar, as well as in evolution

We disabled email, so it is empty.

But if we turn it on, evolution shows the gmail account right away.

This video demonstrates working with multiple tasks and windows.

You can switch between windows in the window list at the bottom of the screen

or you can use Alt-Tab to switch quickly

You can go to the activities overview from the menu

Or by moving the mouse to the 'hot corner' at the top left

The overview lets you arrange your windows on multiple workspaces
